Gourd Luffa

Luffa Gourd seeds produce vigorous climbing vines yielding cylindrical fruits that develop fibrous, sponge-like interiors when mature. These fast-growing annuals require full sun, warm temperatures, and a long growing season (110-130 days). Plant in rich, well-drained soil after all frost danger has passed, providing sturdy trellising to support heavy fruit development. Harvest when fully mature for natural bath sponges, or collect young fruits under 6 inches for culinary use in stir-fries and soups.
